In Your Debt

Hi friends! Sorry I am a bit late with today's post. We had a whirlwind Saturday: boyscouts, birthday parties, soccer games! Anyway I made this yesterday but didn't snap the picture until this morning. I used a cream card based and embossed it with one of label 1 nestie dies. I stamped this coordinating label from Vintage Labels in vintage photo distress ink. The sentiment (from Rescue Remedies Additions) is stamped in the same. I stamped the flowers from the Spring Baskets set on another piece of cream. I colored it with distress inks and a paintbrush. I cut it out and popped it up. I sponged all the edges with vintage photo and wild honey distress inks. I also added some copper stickles but they arent showing up in the picture.

Stamping Fun x 2

I had so much fun with the Earth Angel stamp set the other evening, that I made two cards!

Card #1:

{click on any photos for a closeup}

I used the little star and garland from the set to decorate the sentiment panel, and colored it with glitter pens which I used in the very center star of the flower, too.

And Card #2:

I love these petals (wings) with the hearts in them.   I mounted the design on terracotta cardstock and added  glitter pen to the petals, and a little amber rhinestone to accent the "hello."

Thanks for checking out our blog today!

Stamps:  Earth Angel, Fancy Phrases (hello)
Ink:  Memento (rich cocoa), Versafine (green)
Cardstock:  Papertrey Ink (white, terracotta, dark chocolate)
Other:  Kaisercraft rhinestone, PTI ribbon, Spica glitter pens, Stampin' Up foam dimensionals.

Fresh Baked Thursday

Hello!

Would you like a little fresh-baked pie with your blog reading today?!  :^)

Today's card is intended to accompany a gift of homemade baked goods:

After stamping the background pies, I wanted to mat the main image but the next level of Nestabilities that I have was too large ~ it would've covered too much of the background.

When I began acquiring Nestabilities, I chose to purchase just the large sizes.  So instead of using the too large die, I took the same die I used for the main image and taped it to a piece of burgundy cardstock.  I then traced the outline of it with a pencil and cut it out with my paper snips.  Easy peasy, and just the right amount of colored mat!

I adhered the image to the burgundy mat, and then attached them to the card base with foam adhesive.

The image was stamped and sponged, and sprayed with Glimmer Mist.  It's a little hard to see the shimmer, but it really coordinated well with the natural flecked background cardstock.

Hope you liked today's card . . . and if it tempted you. . .  well, just don't eat too much pie ;^) .

Stamps:  Waltzingmouse, of course!
Ink:  Memento (rich cocoa), Versacolor (toffee), Distress Ink (sponging)
Cardstock:  Papertrey Ink (white, kraft, scarlet jewel), Stampin' Up (natural confetti)
Other:  Tattered Angels (glimmer mist), SU button, embroidery floss, ribbon (unknown origin), SU punch, SU foam dimensionals

Felt Snowflakes

Continuing with my project to finish my Christmas cards. I love using Sewing Box Christmas so much and that is the set used to make this card. I stamped the flakes on white felt and cut out the centers. I used red liner tape and sprinkled it with glitter to do the underlining. Everything else was embossed in white.

Simply Thank You

Hi!  It's been awhile . . . I've been away from stamping so just getting my feet wet again.

Nothing like a little Waltzingmouse to brighten up a card maker's day :^) .  I paired the little basket of apples with a classic thank you and Cosmo Cricket paper.

And what's more refreshing that crispy apples?!   It was kind of fun to do some coloring and paper cutting after all ~ I may just do it again sometime ;^) .

Thanks for stopping by!

Thank you

I was in need of a thank you note and had an idea to use this pretty Basic Grey paper from the Kioshi line and emboss something onto vellum. I grabbed Asian Gardens and used the border with white detail embossing powder.

Thank you BG

Merry, Merry in August?

I try to have all my Christmas cards done by early September and realized today that I was still a dozen short. Also, this set, before today, has been new in the package and was crying out for ink. All stamps are from the Sewing Box Christmas set. Various bits of Basic Grey papers were used.
