Oldie but Goodie

Hi folks! I have an oldie but goodie for you. You might have seen it before if you follow my blog. Unfortunately I didnt have time to make something brand new. I am out of town this weekend as my baby brother is graduating high school! I can't believe that little kid is now 18! Crazy. Anyway here is my card. I used spring baskets and put the little chickie inside. It just took some easy masking. Then of course the fun part, which was coloring the little scene. The whole card is made with Plum Pudding cardstock, cut with a spellbinders nestability. Thats some PTI patterned paper on the background. I edged the whole thing in stickles. I like glitter! Happiness

I love this flower. And the font and the sentiments.  They are from Waltzingmouse Asian Gardens, a set chock full of happiness.

Stamp, punch, color some rhinestones with a Copic, tie the ribbon and I have a fun card that should make someone happy.  At least it makes me happy and seriously, that's what a hobby is all about.  The bonus to stamping is that we get to share it with someone else -- assuming the card actually gets into an envelope... (this one will).

The luscious blue ink is Bahama Blue from Memento.  I'm addicted to it.  I paired it with a combination of Bamboo and Pear (stamped the hello in Pear and then just barely in the darker Bamboo).  Blue and Green = Peaceful.  Ribbon is Avocado by PTI.  Or is it Artichoke?

AAAHHHHH!!!!  I thought it would never happen!!!  Usually my post is up by now. . . . oops.  I will try to post a card later today though ;) .

Make A Wish

This card is for my son to give to his friend next weekend at his sixth birthday party. This age is tough to make cards for--to old for any cutesy images. I went with with pretty clean and simple.

Up and Away
