Thank You

Sorry for the delay in posting today...with summer vacation in full swing, stamping time is harder to find!

I made a card following the newest Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge . What a great sketch!

My card uses some paper from Making Memories Noteworthy collection, the large knit stamp from Faux Fun, a frame from Very Vintage Labels 4 and the sentiment from Say it With Style.

Add in lots of distress ink for the edges, stitching, Prima flowers, borders and a ribbon and that's it!

Thanks for stopping by!

Congratulations...

Hello!
I was in a purple mood while making today's card. I used 'Asian gardens' & the teeny weeny hearts are from 'Earth Angel'. I made my card using the sketch from WMSC.

Hope you like & thanks for looking.

Waltzing Mouse Sketch Challenge #2

Hi there! Im back with something brand new this week! I used the sketch posted on the Waltzingmouse sketch blog here. I started this card with a Hawaiian shores base (pti). I stamped it with Versamagic Turquoise Gem ink using the large circle stamp from Free Spirit. Next I cut an oval out of white and a mat out of summer sunrise (pti). I stamped the oval with the surfboards and wave stamps from Free spirit. I used some Chai Tea ink for the sand.
Next I got out some PTI Vellum and made the horizontal strip by stamping it with Turquoise Gem using the wave and circle stamps. I adhered it with vellum tape. Then I added my matted oval. Finally I stamped the hibiscus flower twice on vellum. I let it dry (that took awhile) and then colored with my copics. I cut them out and adhered them with foam tape. Last but not least I stamped Aloha underneath the horizontal strip.

Pearls and Satin

I was hoping for an elegant look, so I combined the "leaves' from the tree in Asian Gardens with pearl accents and a satin ribbon.  Can you see the white embossed background on part of the card?  Love that stamp.

I hope you are enjoying a good Friday!  Yeah the end of the work week for me!

Better late than never!

Hi!  Sorry I missed last week ~ I'm undergoing a major reorganization and . . . well, it's progressing a little more slowly than I'd like.

Anyway, what better than a belated birthday card for today!

For this card I used Big Blooms - Chrysanthemums and Fancy Phrases.

Cardstock:  PTI white and Summer Sunrise.
Ink:  Adirondack Butterscotch, PTI Scarlet Jewel, Memento New Sprout and Bamboo Leaves, Versamagic in two shades of plum ;) .
Accessories:   SU and Basic Grey brads

I used DTP with the Butterscotch on the background and sentiment layers, and Scarlet Jewel around the outside of the white cardstock base.  (Click once or twice on the image for a closer look.)  The sentiment and flower are on SU dimensionals.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Thank you so much

My card today features the gorgeous set, Asian Gardens. I made this card to give to my friend who invited me to go on a free trip to Palm Beach with her!

We visited the Morikami Museum and Garden in Delray Beach and saw a scene just like the one depicted on my card. There was a beautiful Asian bird in a tree eating a huge fish that it had just fished out of the koi pond.

Thanks for looking!
