Tone on Tone Copic Colored Roses

I've started to use my Copics on colored cardstock, experimenting with different color combos.  In this case, I used Papertrey Ink's Aqua Mist cardstock and stamped the large rose from Waltzingmouse Roses in Bloom with Paris Dusk Memento ink.  Then I colored part of the petals with Snow Green (BG0000) and Ice Ocean (BG72) Copic Sketch markers. I added a ribbon and a sentiment and some white gel pen accents.  (I have no dark blue ribbon -- how did this happen??)

I'm not sure about this color combo -- there may be a bit too much contrast for me, but it is fun to experiment.

The nice thing about coloring on colored cardstock?  You really don't need to do a whole lot of shading.  The cardstock hides a lot of imperfections and you achieve a variety of looks.

Blogger question -- my other blog is on typepad. I can't get my photos here to be any larger.  Otherwise, only a portion of the photo posts.   Does anyone know what I am doing wrong??

  1. It goes without saying that I love your card. I am no Blogger expert but I think you will need to increase your overall page size in order to create larger pictures. Right now it looks like there is no addition room on the page to increase picture size. If i remember right, I increased my banner size and that increased my overall page size. HTH! Cheers!

  2. Can't help with your query, but I love this colour combo! So much so, that I may need to 'borrow' it- hee! The roses stamped off perfectly- this is a total gem :)
