Its Been So Long...

But I wanted to share my latest WMS creation with you. I have had trouble keeping up with my own blog, let alone posting on this one. But I made this with my new cottage and Halloween stamps from WMS and I wanted to share. All stamps are WMS with the exception of the tree (MSE). Thanks for stopping by. P1060555

Happy Birthday

It's been forever since I posted over here....sorry about that!

I've really been enjoying smy new WMS stamps and this is the lastest card I made:

I stamped the background using Faux Fun, with Lulu Lavendar ink (Memento) onto a Vintage Cream sheet, while masking off the frame area. The cameo, from Cameo Creations, was heat-embossed with black powder. The sentiment comes from PTI, as well as the die for the frame and the ribbon.

Thanks for taking a look!

Doilies!

Hi there! Missed my day again... the holiday weekend has me all messed up! Anyway I have two doily cards for you today. The first is monochromatic brown. Kraft paper, chocolate ink, vanilla paper, chai tea distress ink. And of course WMS doilies! The second card did not photograph as well. The sentiment shows up much better in real life. Here I used white ink, versamark ink, and WMS stamps (doilies and Say it Loud).

Hi there! Sorry I missed you last week... schedule has been beyond hectic here. I can't wait for June 17th (school is OUT)! In the meantime my awesome new doily stamps came in the mail! I love getting that royal mail packet! Today's card is pretty simple- the awesome doilies, thanks from say it loud, versamark, embossing powder, and sparkle pen! Hooray for the simple things! Thanks for stopping in!

Fancy a Cuppa?

Hello! Happy Mother's Day to you! I have a cute lil card using two of Claire's fabulous sets: Frame It and Afternoon Tea. Do you like the little saucers? They are actually the insides of the cup! LOL! A little hint for you if you paper piece these like I did. The inside of the cup handle I cut from white paper and glued on top. So much easier than trying to cut out the inside. I am not that handy with a knife. Other Deets: Cardstock by PTI, paper by Echo Park. Ink is smokey shadow and berry sorbet.

Feeling Crummy?

My youngest son was diagnosed with pneumonia yesterday so I spent the day making get well cards.

Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge 44

Hi today's card is based on the Waltzingmouse sketch challenge 44. Well because I am a big idiot I didn't notice the emboss! on the sketch when I looked it up to start my card. So my take is a little "off". I offer my apologies now. Just imagine some lovely embossing below the ribbon. Sheesh.
P1060159
Anyway I have this card to offer up. It uses labels 14 and Spring Baskets and Basket Additions. I used some unknown patterned paper (if I had to guess I would say Doodlebug), kraft cardstock, dark chocolate ribbon and button, twine, and spellbinders dies. The flowers and basket are colored with my copics.

Waltzingmouse Blog Waltz

Good Morning Fellow Waltzingmouse fans! Today is the WMS blog waltz. The theme is Easter!
Here is my entry! I used stamps from Spring Baskets and Lil Buddies. I masked the bunny to make him appear in front of the basket. I mask this bunny so often that I keep a mask in the case with the stamps. I colored everything with my copic markers.
And because I used copics (which bleed through) I lined the card with pretty polka dot paper from Doodlebug. Thanks for waltzing in!

Birds and Eggs

Good morning friends! I have a card for you today using Spring Baskets and some new paper from 3 bugs in a rug. To make this card I first cut out the white panel. I stamped it with two of the eggs from Spring baskets. I colored them and glued the whole thing to a dark purple base. Next I added some purple twill ribbon. I then stamped the sentiment in white ink. Finally I cut those cute little birdies from the patterned paper and glued them on. Hope you like!

Easter Tags

Hello there! Long time, no see! I have neglected my WMS the last few Sundays. I really have no excuse except that I have been busy with some other things. I have never been very good about creating with a deadline. Sometimes I go weeks without making anything, other times I knock 20 cards out in a day. Anyhow.... today I have got two little Easter tags for you. I used Spring Baskets and Labels 1. Ink is from Dew Drops and Memento. A little copic coloring, some paper piecing and some stickles- all finished off with some pretty ribbon! Enjoy.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Top o' the morning to you!!

Today my card features a fantastic St. Patrick's Day greeting in digital image form available at Waltzingmouse Stamps!   I love it!

This image is an excellent example of Claire's unique style.
Isn't it beautiful?!

I colored it with Copics, and the gingham ribbon, too.
The large background paper was debossed
with Papertrey's tin type impression plate,
which coordinates nicely with the background on Claire's image.

Here's a closer look:

A nice match, isn't it??

This is a bittersweet post for me.  I'm really happy that my day fell on St. Patrick's Day, but I am sad to say this is my last post as an official Waltzingmouse Maker.

Joan B invited me to join the blog and I was so honored to be included with the talented group of designers here, and thrilled to represent in some small way the work I admire so much from Claire Brennan.

As I explained to Joan, other commitments have simply made my participation more difficult now, and I'd like to open the spot for someone else to join in and share their artistry with you here on the blog.

It's been a privilege to be included with the amazing talent here ~ I have been so inspired by the other Waltzingmouse Makers, and I'm sure I will continue to be!!  I'll always love Waltzingmouse Stamps and can't wait to see what the coming months have in store for us all.  I'll certainly be visiting here often.

Thanks for visiting Waltzingmouse Makers.  I wish you all a wonderful St. Patrick's Day, and Happy Stamping!!

I'll be seeing you around :^) !!!

Happy Wednesday!

I decided to play along with the latest Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge .

The tree trunk, from Asian Gardens, is embossed with black powder. The pink ink is Rouge from Colorbox. I left off a sentiment for now, but I'm thinking I could add a tag to the ribbon later.

Thanks for looking!

Backgrounds

I have two cards to share today that feature heat-embossed backgrounds using WMS stamps. Both cards have similar elements and layouts, but achieve different looks.

Photobucket

For the first card, I stamped the lace image (my very favorite background ever!) onto Kraft cardstock and heat embossed.

Photobucket

The second card uses a background stamp, the knit one, from the same set, Faux Fun. This time I stamped in onto Hibiscus Burst carstock.

I love the texture and feel heat-embossing gives to a card, and as you can see, Waltzingmouse Stamps has some beautiful background stamps!

Thanks for coming by!

Spring has sprung

Wishful thinking, right??!!

spring has sprung

I made this card using Spring Baskets, stamped onto a Vintage Cream (PTI) cut with a Label 14 die. I can't remember who makes the green gingham paper...October Afternoon, maybe?

The sentiment and butterfly come also from Spring Baskets.

Teeny Trees

Hello there! Happy Sunday to you! I have been working like a busy bee in my craft area this weekend. (I have no craft room- I have taken over the living room, LOL). Today I have these lovely little lollipop trees for you. I love this set. The happy birthday is from lil' buddies and the butterfly is from Spring baskets. I stamped the trees in two shades of chalk ink. I inked up some grass at the bottom and some spring rain sky on the top. I used my copic marker on the trunks and I paper pieced the butterfly.

Abstract with WMS

It's been a long time!!!   But finally I had a chance to work with my Waltzingmouse Stamps.

This time I tried a new technique. . . droplets of reinker onto the cardstock and then using a straw to blow the ink around.  It would be easier with glossy cardstock, I think, as the ink sometimes dried pretty quickly.   This technique is not recommended if you become lightheaded easily!

I used white cardstock for the "blown" background and stamped
the mums on clear cardstock,
attached with glue dots (under the pearls).

Hope you like it!  It's really a fun technique!

Happy Birthday

It's Wednesday!

aqua and blue hb

I made this card recently using Musical Backgrounds. I have been drawn to using aqua a lot lately! The polka dot paper is from Basic Grey's Hopscotch collection and the darker blue paper and ribbon is Enchanted Evening from PTI. The "Happy birthday", from Say It With Style, was stamped using Versamark's Night Sky.

Spring Baskets and Easter Eggs

Good Morning! I hope you are having a relaxing Sunday. Last week, when I had some time I started working on some Waltzingmouse only cards for my Sunday posts. Then I actually remembered to take some pictures... so I think we are good for at least a couple weeks! This weeks card features the Spring Basket set. You need this set, if only for Claire's beautifully drawn basket. All stamps are by WMS. Cardstock is by PTI. A variety of inks, mostly palette and dew drops.

If you follow my blog then you have already seen this one. I had it up earlier in the week. I used spring baskets and additions for this card. I love those daffodils.
