The concept of this card was a simple one: Remember those big sugar Easter eggs where you look through an opening on the end and there's a little scene inside? I thought of that immediately when I saw the new set, Li'l Buddies!
These little critters are so adorable! They are colored with Prismacolor pencils blended with Gamsol. The animals are highlighted with a Sakura glitter pen . . . here's a close-up:
The inside became little more involved than I initially planned. I decided this card would be for my daughter and she would like some sparkle:
The basket, eggs, and bows are all colored with the pastel line of Spica glitter pens. Here I used the WMS set, Spring Baskets. These stamp sets are truly amazing -- they are packed with so many images and sentiments! Here's a full view of the inside:
And I had to add a few eggs to the left-hand side here. I didn't want to do that, but I had accidentally set the inside of this card on an inked stamp! Lesson learned about putting things away, right?! The stray ink marks had to be covered . . . I didn't discover it until the rest of the card was completely finished. And I was not going to start over, LOL!!!
Hope you enjoyed this taste of Spring from Waltzingmouse Stamps! I'll be back next week, and in the meantime, I'm sure you'll have plenty to enjoy from the rest of the Waltzingmouse Makers!
